Happy Thursday! Earlier this week a few friends, my husband and I got to travel to the beautiful region of Valpolicella located in Northern Italy. It is very well known for its red wine! It is actually one of (if not) my FAVORITE wines! I thought I would share a few photos of our trip.
The first winery we went to was Le Bignele. We had a sit down tasting of 5 different wines. My favorite was the Valpolicella Ripasso and of course the Amarone. Each wine was paired with a delicious cheese. I was in heaven!

This was my Chris’ first real wine tasting (and we’ve been living in Italy for 3 years, smh, he works too much). He thought he was so sophisticated wearing his scarf and sipping his Amarone lol.
They make my demijohn at home look pitiful.

These grapes were on display to show how they dry out their grapes to make the Amarone and Recioto.
